- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temp
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 Tablespoons milk or cream
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 and 1/4 cups heat-treated all-purpose flour
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 40–50 pretzels
- 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, such as Ghirardelli
- optional: 1 teaspoon shortening
Beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add milk and vanilla extract. Add flour and salt and mix on low speed until combined. Mix in mini chocolate chips.
Roll dough into small balls and place between two pretzels. Smush.
Optional: Freeze pretzel bites for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, melt chocolate and shortening.
Dip pretzel bite halfway into melted chocolate. Refrigerate for 10 minutes to set chocolate.
Cover and store bites in the refrigerator.
